Jimmy Choo, the glitzy accessories label, has branched out into men's shoes and – in shock fashion news – insiders are proclaiming their footwear to be unexpectedly manly. The label, designed by Tamara Mellon, who was recently appointed UK trade ambassador by David Cameron, is known for its zebra prints, gloss and stilettos. But the new collection, launched in Milan last weekend, was less showy and more of a masculine box-ticker. It includes posh conservative loafers, tasteful hi-top trainers, classic biker boots and the odd jazzy slipper to earn the label fashion kudos. Choo insiders say Mellon designed the collection for her customer's (rich) husband, rather than her customer's hairdresser. And Cameron?
